Before founding Concept Investimentos, Rafael led Pacific Investimentos’ private equity division and Pacific’s partnership with One Equity Partners, JPM’s former global private equity arm, in Brazil.  During his tenure, Pacific invested over R$ 250 million.

Before Pacific, Rafael worked at Actis, a London-based private equity firm focused on emerging markets. At Actis, Rafael was involved in trasactions in the consumer, specialty retail, and healthcare industries in Brazil. Rafael was also responsible for monitoring Companhia Sulamericana de Distribuição, a Brazilian regional retailer.

Rafael also worked in the private equity arm of Banco Votorantim where he executed investments in the real estate, business services and consumer sectors. Rafael has also accumulated experiences in M&A, equity capital markets, and public equities trading.

Since the beginning of his private equity career, Rafael executed 12 investments, deploying more than R$ 1 billion in capital and led the monitoring of 10 companies. Rafael holds a Bachelor degree in Economics from Insper.
